These two special ladies have birthdays this week.
Bekah turns 28 today!
Isa turns 1 tomorrow!
Yeah, I'm a blessed man; more than I deserve.
Needless to say, it's a bittersweet week. I'm so thankful for the birth of my wife and daughter. That is serious cause for celebration. And we will celebrate. But tomorrow, well...it's hard to be unable to celebrate my daughter's first birthday WITH HER. I'm so thankful for her birth, but the fact that she turns one tomorrow is kind of like a punch in the stomach; another reminder that she's growing up without us. In my daughter's first year of life, I've spent a total of 5 days with her.
5 days. That's not enough.
But hope remains. We're gonna bring her home. Soon.
And we've got some serious catching up to do.

[on that note: please continue to pray that we get out of the final adoption court soon. maybe today or tomorrow? that would a great birthday gift...]
